		<description>All good points.  For speed dating events, the service is connecting people who don&#039;t know each other.  For Tech Crunch *attendees*, the service is being in a place where startups and investors are.  For TC50 *presenting companies*, it&#039;s free.  And the reason angels shouldn&#039;t charge to hear pitches is that *it&#039;s their job to hear pitches*.  Why should I pay you for you to introduce me to ... yourself?  

Angels that do this will get the entrepreneurs that couldn&#039;t get the attention of the more active, free-to-pitch VCs.  Entrepreneurs that pay to pitch are pitching to the angels that don&#039;t get the best startups.  Everyone loses (the entrepreneurs, the investors, the economy) except the fee collectors.</description>
